BBC -Five people have been killed in a mid-air collision between two light aircraft in Warwickshire.

The first plane came down close to Coombe Abbey, near Brinklow, five miles from Coventry Airport at 1140 BST, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
The second aircraft crashed in nearby Brandon Woods.
Eyewitness Malcolm Collins told the BBC how "the smaller plane disintegrated immediately, and the right engine of the twin aircraft blew up".
One person in the first plane and four people in the second aircraft were all confirmed dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been revealed.
A Cessna 407 was one of the planes involved, said Warwickshire Police, who have appealed for any witnesses to the crash to come forward. The debris from the aircraft "stretches across several miles", a spokesman said.

Sorry to say but I laughed at this. It's not everyday you hear about a mid-air collision though. (I'm not laughing at the fact people died, just the irony of it)

I was laughing at how it was Boeing that posted it :S

The roadblock blocking the road off is 100meters off the turning into my estate, my brother was working at Coombe Abbey at the time. Apparently there was like, debris strewn down the dribe into the Abbey itself.

But, there's big arguements about Coventry Airport existing as it is, let alone without this.

They're praising the pilot of the Cessna for trying to land after the crash :S

it was a planned 9/11 style attack but they eventually flew into eachother when they realised there was nothing in coventry worth blowing up.

RIP to those killed.

They didn't even consider Newcastle, it's that crap =]
Y'know, it does all seem sketchy to me. I've never seen microlights in that area before and the Cessna was a surveying plane - there's nothing round there to survey.
The 5* Hotel they crashed near, however, often has a host of top businessmen, tv stars and the like there.

Whats with the confused face?

This happens quite a lot, especially with the smaller aircraft. Luckily we hardly see this anymore with commercial airliners which can carry 300+ people or more. Its still a shame, and hope the investigation goes well.
