Wel, there are different numbers of teams in the Football League as opposed to the Premier League but anyway, it'll be Newcastle quite obviously.

Well I think that from a Sunderland fan to a Boro fan, we both know that Newcastle will come out on top. But the battle between Boro and S'land might be more intresting. ;)

Heart Break Kid

I do hope you're joking.. Newcastle are lucky to even be in the premier league. I still find it funny how Newcastle think of themselves as a top club. Year after year they under perform after spending millions in the transfer window and they still manage to do crap. We don't even need to be funded by a billionaire unlike the majority of the premierleague. Newcastle don't get anywhere by their management or tactics, they only manage to survive by scrounging off their chairman to provide funds for past-their-best players.

Lets face it, Middlesbrough are a better team with better facilities and a ever-producing youth academy.

not very often but where are boro going with him as their chairman:S
the answer is nowhere apart from relegation or a mid table finish. all premiership clubs need possibly a foreign investor with plenty of money
to take them a step further.

this year i see newcastle finishing higher

Not really.. look at blackburn and everton. Do they have foreign investors? Nope. Do they have plenty of money? Nope.

I guarantee Middlesbrough will finish higher than Newcastle this season, if not i'll burn my season ticket. :) ..which will be useless anyway because the season will of ended

Heart Break Kid

loooool :P
but 95 pounds a season tickets for under 18's or 16's i forgot
is remarkable
and it showed against tottenham
32000+ nearly max cap :o

nope but Blackburn struggled last season and its look like Everton will struggle this season because they dont have any money to add to their squad and make it stronger. In the premier league now teams without any money and a decent financial backing will struggle.

Captain
19-08-2008, 03:47 PM
Explain to me how blackburn struggled last season after finishing 7th.. :\ How do you know Everton will struggle this season? The transfer window isn't closed yet and they're already closing in on some decent players.
Clubs only need wealthy investors if they want to pay a bunch of primadonna's who are only at the club for the money.

Lucky to be in the... what? I'm sorry, I didn't see Newcastle anywhere near the bottom last season and I should know. Infact, 'Boro were closer to the bottom yet your talking like Newcastle finished in 17th. Oh and a better team and yet Newcastle are still the higher acheiving side?

Captain
19-08-2008, 05:53 PM
They only achieved higher due to a fluke ;) Newcastle can't get anywhere unless they splash millions.

I don't see why your all complaining about the money Newcastle spend. Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool spend money. If they didn't where would they be. Newcaslte are the bigger and I fail to see how Middlesbrough fans think they're better.

Paulio
19-08-2008, 08:49 PM
Newcastle are bigger, yes but there not better.

Middlesbrough are the most succesful team in the North East in recent years. Won the Carling cup, FA Cup final runners up, UEFA Cup runners up.

tottenham fans go on when they beat arsenal 5-1 or w.e the score was which is quite funny actuilly seen as tho arsenal had there reserve team out.

That match was ridiculous, how we lost I'll never know. The final whistle should of went a long time ago but the ref carried on for about 2/3 minutes.

We played really good though, alot of imporvement on last season.

They should be on 2 points tbf

I reckon Sunderland.

They have made some really decent signings this season, namely Cisse.

Also with them looking to tie up a deal for Anton Ferdinand, who knows what they will do!?

Top half of the Prem this season.

I live in Newcastle but have no faith in them at all plus I kinda still support Southampton. I'd say:

Boro: 8th
Sunderland:10th
Newcastle: 14th

Most likely ;)
