I haven't seen htis posted on here, and I'm not sure where to post it so here goes.
Basiclly in 2012 or sooner, the ISP's are going to charge you for visiting sites, and if you want to visit more sites than in their bundle, eg. Habbo, Runescape, etc. then you're gonna have to pay more.

Watch the video and then reply here.
What can we do to help, and will you do anything?

I doubt this will happen but the girl in the first video does have nice boobs.
What a load of crap, funny how they reckon it's going to happen during the year of the Olympics aswell, oh how believeable.
Edit: Wow I just watched this video, you clearly don't know what kind of jokes Athene & co do.

The youtube video
******** for several reasons. ISPs are already making money off the internet, its not like they are giving you it for free. As soon as an ISP started doing this all their customers would move over to another ISP so they wouldnt have any customers. Lets say that this did happen. Why would google still be there? They are a search engine, it would be useless. Basically this guy is an idiot.

Lol this is ********. Why are they going to do this, what purpose would they have to do it?

Exactly. If Virgin approach Google and say if you dont pay us loads of money of we will cut you off. Google with just tell them to get lost. There is no basis for this.

There was actually a bit of Science behind electronics failing at the Millennium, and a lot of equipment did actually stop working or go wrong.
However I'd rather believe in God, Allah or whatever else than believe this ****.

Net Neutrality is actually quite a serious issue. If ISPs started to charge to visit certain websites, then yes, it would be the end of the internet as we know it. The internet was designed as a free medium where anyone could create something and share it with others, and our access to it should not be controlled by ISPs trying to make more cash.
What if you had to pay an extra £10 a month to go on Myspace? Or to use MSN? What about an extra £20 to use YouTube, or Last.fm?

I wouldn't be happy paying extra to visit a few sites. The internet should stay free (as in visiting websites) and we should only be paying for the services they actually give us at this moment in time.

i truely doubt it would happen in this country due to competition laws + we have LOTS of ISPs in this country. One would offer 'unlimited access to every site'

I can't see this happening, in the UK I think there's a law they would be breaking and there's no need for them to this, hey make aload of money as it is!
lol, like this would ever happen.
The only time the internet will end is when they find something even better xD

Not going to happen.
For as long as people have freedom of speech, they will freely surf the internet.
Furthermore, has anyone noticed that TELUS's Pay-Per-Use service is actually for wireless web surfing and nothing to do with broadband internet or anything that really matters?

My two cents.

Everything revolves around the internet. Without the internet, the world would be going back 20 years... things would just not work!
I want to email my freind...WOOPs can't do that! - Handwritten letter it is.

the worlds ending anyway so who cares \m/
This won't happen. If it does there's always gonna be one ISP that doesn't follow along, and they will make billions, causing the other ISP's to go back to the normal system.

haha what a load of ********
2012 has so many things happening in it, its untrue
edit: just wanna add, I'm sure ISP's knew if they did this they would make less money because people wouldn't pay anyway
doubt it.. i mean alot of people already pay alot of money per month just to use the internet

No chance this will happen if all big service providers did this then little services provides would just say unlimited and they'd make lots more money.
Plus do you think Google, aol, ebay is going to let this happen? This means the people that can afford to pay for certain websites, that means certain big companies will lose visitors.
No way this will happen, think how many people run companies over the internet.
