Hey i know alot about computer stuff as my dad is a engineer. Any way it could be because its been stored away in the cupboard or somthing the cables have bent abit or the lens has gone faulty. You should wiggle the cable where it goes into the camera and then do it with the other end then try it it :). If that dosent work then try it in a differnent socket and if that dosent work then try it on a freinds computer or somthing.
Hope this helped! Elliot...

I mean, When the webcam isnt even plugged into the computer.
And i send my webcam to somebody when they accept it comes up with them lines, even tho theres no webcam plugged in.
My computer has a tv tuner built in, could it be something with that?

Almost certainly.
I know someone else who used to experience a similar problem because of a tv tuner.

Hi,
Check out this guide to setting up MSN Messenger (it's slightly outdated, but it does the job) with your webcam/microphone:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/windowsmessenger/ballew_video.mspx
Good luck.
