Tattoo

I'm guessing this is the correct forum.

So yeah, I want a tattoo. I don't know whether to get an upper arm tribal design, forearm tribal tattoo (all around), or my name somewhere (most likely down inside of my forarm.)

Anyone got any good ideas? Or think a certain place or whatever would look better than another?

don't get a tribal design or a tattoo for the sake of it, look for a design you like and leave it a few months and if you still like it then get it.

I would get a image over a name in whatever language.

I heard of someone who got a chinese takeaway to translate some words into chinese for a tattoo he was getting, the guy at the takeaway translated coca cola into chinese and they guy didn't find out until someone asked him why he had coca cola tattood on his arm a few years later :P

Ive got 5 stars going up my wrist and i havent finished them yet there going to go all way up my arm and end behind my ear then getting coloured.

I wanted it doing when i was 16 but decided ill leave it till im 18 and if i still wanted it ill get it.

I want to get quite a few when I have the money and stuff; when I have children, want their name in childlike handwriting on my thumb ('cause that's usually where I write things), my regiment's name and logo in black and white down the bottom of my wrist, I want one on my neck under my ear, but I don't know what saying - probably my child's DoB and "What we love will destroy us" along my collar bone, above my heart.

If you're going to get a tattoo, get something that means something to you. Unless you are from a tribe.

Lol. Nah um. I dont see the point in your name, unless you want everyone else to know so badly but then you could post-it note to your forehead. I like tribal designs, imo they look good. I'd go for one on upper arm or back :)

Think of potential future employers if you're going to go for any respectable job that is relatively high-end. You won't get far with tattoos on your arms or hands in an interview.

I have one on my upper back, I can't take a picture for obvious reasons. It's similar to this picture, but without the water, colour, more blood, and a bigger shark.

I don't want something too colourful, I don't know why. Want to keep it black and white, unless I see something in colour that really catches my eye.

What no way, that gets in the way of getting one all the way down and is just boring anyway. Tribal will go out of fashion in a couple of years and you'll look stupid with it, and you shouldn't just think "I want a tattoo" and get any random design. Make one yourself, wait a few months (yes, MONTHS) and if you still like it after that time then perhaps get it.

If you wanted your name, get it in a differnet language like japanese or somthing. BUT do some research and make sure its deffo your name as you dont want to get the tattoo and find out it dosn't say what you want. If you want your name than i would get it on your forearm like you said or wrist though maybe its a bit more girly on your wrist, but its what you prefer.
Also if i was you, i would get somthing that means somthing to you, that tribal stuff is just fashion and will soon go out and then you are stuck with it, oh and everyone has too though you could get a animal in a tribal style which would look nice.
But yeah, get something that means something to YOU, you have it for life. I can just suggest a animal or you name OR if you have kids (which obv you don't) you could get their names on your arms.

That's a pretty awful one tbh. I've seen some bad ones before and they're better than that. My uncle has one on his back (along with the body-full of other tatoos) that is really.. realistic.
