TRIBUTES have been paid to a much-loved Widnes teacher who died in a crash yesterday.
Bankfield School IT and business studies teacher Mrs Ross, aged 49, died after the crash at Liverpool Road yesterday.
A statement released by the school read: "It is with deep regret that we must inform you of the death of Mrs Ross.
"She was on her way to school on Thursday 21st August to collect her GCSE results when she was the victim of road traffic collision at the junction of Liverpool Road and Highfield Road.
"As this is a police matter we are limited in the information that we are allowed to release.
"The school will take steps to provide support for students upon their return to school.
"At the moment details of the funeral arrangements are unknown.
"The thoughts of the school are with the family at this difficult time."
