I've got a Logitech 3.5 Jack;
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-980240-0403-Desktop-Microphone/dp/B00022TNHM/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1219500585&sr=8-2

It's brilliant quality and has no background noise.
It was a pain to set up, I had to do some tweaking and shiz, but you should work it out =D

Im looking for more of the headset type approach if possible, like microphone and speakers in the headset, but thanks for your suggestion +REP to you sir.
