Hey folks.

Over the past few months, we've seen some games LONG in development, finally be released, but some of them... sucked Too Human was just released and it was 'mehfull'.

So which games can you think of, that have had a looooongg development time, but ultimately sucked?

MGS4 - 16 years as concept in Kojima's head, 4 years in actual development. It was... average, didn't have quite the impact past MGS games has made and the storyline dragged on a bit too much

GTA IV - Rockstar started developing it half-way through San Andreas, late 2003, it was released almost 6 years later, and it wasn't GTA anymore.

Duke Nukem Forever - It's not even out yet and you can tell it's not gonna descend from heaven and cure cancer and bring world peace.

*shivers*

HAZE was like... so over-hyped and so over-publicised, really didn't live up to anything at all. I can't believe what Free Radical crapped out.

Oh and shhhh <_<

PES 2008, oh i thought you meant over hyped

I'd say the getaway 3 its been in development for years and then they cancel it.

I kinda liked the concept... but it just turned out aweful

Alone in the Dark anyone? Lot's of good ideas... wasted

Alone in the Dark looked awesome, everything about it seemed to be perfect, that was until you play it, I only played the demo but that was glitchy as hell, like when you walk up the stairs and the thing kills the guy escorting you or something if you walk a tiny bit to far you are like on top of the gas spray things and you die
And what was the point in adding a first person view if every single event that happens in the game forces you back into third person o.O

Sounds like a very buggy game, I hope the 360/PS3 patch/release at least makes it playable, if it does, I might pick it up when it goes in the bargain bin. Can't believe that thing took more than 10 years to make.

I think they should've kept it over-the-shoulder view like Gears of War or Resident Evil 4, would've made it a bit more scary too.

Might be able to play this 'demo' soon
