How come if we disagree with someone or don't like someone or don't love one another and stick out nose up forum staff's ****, we get banned or cautioned or infracted or warned or whatever you do nowadays. It's pretty stupid because forums are there for debates and not everybody's going to agree with everybody.

If everyone posted nicely this forum would be ****, a waste of time, and a disgrace to the forum world.

Don't move this to complaints, I would also like feedback. If you move it to complaints, that's bullying.

I argue all the time, and disagree, and don't stick my nose up staff's ****.. but I only get cautioned/infracted when I deserve it?

You get cautions/infractions/warnings when you break the rules, that simple.

You don't have to agree with people, but if you're rude about it.. and insult people.. then yeah, you're going to get warned/infracted..

I must admit I've never had an infraction for complaining or disagreeing all the time, surely if I can moan with out breaking the rules you can as well. You've just got to know where to stop and give constructive criticism.

I'd like to agree with you but I don't think it's true to be fair.

Hit the nail on the head ^^

Disagreement and debate are what fuels change (as established by that artsy Volvo advert) but rude disagreement or arrogant debate is not what we want here and ties in very well with the trolling/bullying crackdown announced by Alex earlier. A crackdown that I'm almost certain that you will suffer as a result of if your attitude shown in the other feedback thread continues into other posts. ;)

;P rude disagreement and arrogant debate should only be used in politics, not an internet forum.

I've seen pretty strongly opinionated posts from both of the above but they're both still here. Jord got it pretty much spot on; there's a difference between disagreeing and insulting, and the line isn't as fine as some people make it out to be.

Yeah, we've had quite a few posts.. but yet we have been punished for them all.. and have paid the price ;P

To be honest, I can't remember seeing any red writing on any of Jordy's posts, but we're digressing :P

Theres something called "constantly negative" which u can be banned for. Apparently you're negative if you have a discussion with management and pretty much 'outsmart' them and they know it. It's pretty annoying.

If you're having a discussion with the intention to "outsmart" management then you're going about it the wrong way. Outsmarting someone doesn't achieve anything except a vague sense of smugness. You can try and persuade management, you'll find we don't have a problem with that, but trying to outsmart is only going to make us annoyed, and annoyed people and ban buttons generally get on pretty well :P

Very true, notice how I didn't mention that first time round :P You've been good recently though, obviously our whips are leathery enough.

Simple enough, its not what you say, its how you say it. And the part in bold made me laff.

I object to this on two fronts. One I have an ego and I don't believe you were outsmarting us, I posted a long big reply but the forum died on me and I was way too lazy to rewrite it (did Gomme forward you that PM?)

Secondly, as Alex said your aim was apparently to be negative and outsmart and one-up the management, which is not a positive addition to the forum. Your focus was not improving the forum but instead proving the management wrong. There are ways to say things ;)

You don't even have any infractions or warnings so I am not sure what you are referring to.

I've never been temp banned, and I used to getting in a arguement daily...

I havent had a warning in months now, but tbh its only when new mods come in, that you get warning's and infractions, but even then they get used to the power after a week.

If they gave warnings for b asically everything believe me I would not be here, and I am sure nvr, jesus, hitman, and MAD could probably agree that I often do get in trouble xD

Ill answer them both at once. Perhaps outsmart was the wrong word to use, but i meant like, prove my side of the arguement.

oh, and gomme didnt forward me it.
