Any tips about what to give hamsters for fun like toilet roll or like, how to hold them and stuff.

I don't have one, but I need to know.

Thanks,
Danny

They really enjoy long cardboard tubes like... Kitche Roll tubes, or ones that posters come in. They also enjoy a wheel.

When picking up hamsters you gtoa be careful that they don't try and bite your fingers though.

they tend to like fruity chews and, as you mentioned, tubes which they can go through.. they also enjoy burrowing in amongst bedding to sleep, so make sure they're able to do so :)

Put sellotape around it so it doesn't split when you screw it.

SICK CHILD!!

Put it in one of those exercise balls, just dont let dogs try and play football with it.

My hamster used to love cardboard tubes (Toilet Roll since kitchen roll ones are huge) - Always seemed to love the chocolate/yoghurt buttons.

For holding it, for me it always worked best if I rubbed my hands in sawdust then just like lifted it with one hand - my hamster was quite tame so I could just let it run around on the bed etc - Didn't have to hold it tight but I did when I had the gerbil.

Its really dependent on how tame the hamster is for the method of holding it :)

when i first got mine, ur meant to leae it for a day or so to settle in then put gloves on and pick it up, don't grab it tho, let it run over ur hands.

and neverr pick it up after you've eaten, i always do that and get bitten

Use a tube to lure the hamster in then slide it out onto your hand, Dont hold it just let it run across your hands, Hamster are probly the worst for biting but thats because they are naturaly timid.

So dont hold tight just let it run across your hands :D

My hamster kept dying then coming back to life when I put it next to the fireplace- it was dead weird... poor Patches.

Anyway i got her one of those cages with tubes coming out and stuff- she used to love making grand escapes from them! One night I woke up with her chewing my toe... :D

OMD. I never even knew I made this. The hamster's gone now. I had done most of the stuff mentioned here naturally anyway. Thanks for help though!

Never wake a hamster is my first tip :P Hamstrs like stuff to climb such as ropes. Get hamster cubes and tubes from ebay, they loves those! :) Best not use a box or toilet roll for tubes because some hamsters will eat them.

With my hamsters I usually stick them in its running ball, so it can run around my bedroom freely :p

Or you could make a little maze for it with a box and some tubes, they love to hide in small spaces you see.
