Another one?

From BBC Website - Monday, 25 August 2008 22:47 - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7581412.stm

Those who left from the back of the plane used a stairwell to escape, but passengers nearer the front were seen leaping down onto the runway.

The passenger who shot the video was sitting in a nearby plane and took it through the window.

A Munich airport spokesman said the plane's left undercarriage briefly caught fire. No cause for the incident has been discovered yet and no-one was reported injured.

There is a video of the plane on fire and people running out of it which can be found here (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7581412.stm)

Yeah I seen this last night. Not that bad, no one was hurt and the fire was put out within minutes. Another one? You may say. But you get car crashes everyday.

This week is just like pure plane accidents... Spannair, ryanair and now thisTrue but there's only been one really major crash, if you think about it this is the busiest week of the year for aviation so there's bound to be more minor incidents, they've just been a little unlucky, but they've also been lucky that most of the minor one's weren't major one's.

Yes, but as I said in another thread, when there is a plane crash, there are always incidents involving aircraft that happen in the following week or so, and then nothing until the next disaster. It's just weird.

Well i guess it'll just be because of heightened interest in aviation for a few days folliwing the accident

Count how many car crashes there is each day around the world. Theres going to be crashes every year in all sorts of transport sadly. But there is always a reason for why a plane has a crash/incident etc. Although like others have said the only major one is the SpanAir one.

I'm guessing plane crashes is going to be the new hyped up thing in the news lol. I mean a week or so ago they were reporting the '14th stabbing in xxxx ammount of months' People tend to listen to the news and forget that these things happen a lot and are not always report on the news. So rofl yeah you could say 'zomgz this is the 5th plane inccident' but seriously imagine how many of these inccdients happen every year that aren't reported in the news =]

Yeh you get car crashes. But the odds of a plane crashing is you need to fly like 4 times a day everyday of the year to have like a %45 of crashing

Actually all plane crashes are highly publicised. Planes are the safest form of transport in the world - incidents are very few and far between - thankfully.
