You can use a normal phone line cable :P
If not, you need a network cable.

Wireless would be the best option though.

You can get ethernet cable > ethernet cable adaptors so you can connect to cables together to make two cables into one.

Which wire you trying to extend? Internet cable doesn't tell us much really.

I assumed a standard ethernet cable.

if you're looking for a phone line extension as nick said the end of it is called an RJ11 lead, just google that and you should find one.

Ethernet = RJ45 is your looking for that.

You could learn how to extend and crimp cabling too :P

My router and all that is in the hall and my computer is in the living room, I had to get a really long ethernet cable, you can get them from like PC world or them shops lol
