What's the difference between NBA 08, NBA 2K8 and NBA Live 08?

2K8 Is made by 2K inc for sure, NBA Live and normal and made by EA I think. It depends whom you like.

Cheers for the information. I downloaded NBA 2k8 demo and that's cool. I'll download the other 2 when Playstation Network has stopped being a pain.

09 Is out soon, it is based upon the players last performance instead of the one last season if you want to get that one.

I've played on NBA Live 08 and NBA 2k7, not sure I can give opinions because they were released a year apart, but I personally prefer NBA Live 08.

Graphics wise, the NBA Live 08 one is better, though NBA 2k7 has more accurate animations for the shooting styles of the players. It's easier to score with NBA Live 08 at all difficulties and it's also easier to sort out team rosters on NBA Live 08. I don't see much that gives NBA 2k7 the edge over NBA Live 08, apart from the animations I've stated before.

Also, you can download patches from excellent patchers on a forum for the NBA Live series, which will actually level the animations of shooting styles with 2k7. The patchers are really great, and can create anything from start up screens to scoreboards to new players to players' shoes and much more. Their roster fixes are also quite accurate. By that, I mean that they change the ratings for the players at different times of the year according to the statistics they've gathered from that point in the season.
