I want to use Mail on OS X to get my email from my school account, which uses Exchange Server 2003. THey have enabled web access so I can use it through a browser, but I cannot seem to get it working in Mail.

I have also used Entourage (Outlook for Mac) and it worked fine. However, Entourage is just a mess.

Can anyone tell me what ports I would need etc?

I've never done it myself but this seems to be a good guide:

I don't think mail supports exchange actually :s I could be wrong however.

Why move? Exchange is Microsoft and Mail is Apple, so it should go in the general forum :P

I use port 993 because they use SSL and I keep getting a time out message. I'll go speak to the IT people about it when I go back.

Just use entourage! It isn't messy once you know how to use it :P

Entourage looks like it was made by Fisher Price. All the programs in the Office 2008 Suite are by far the worse programs on my Mac, although iWork isn't much better.

I agree what you say about Entourage, within the summer holidays I moved back over to Mail. Although can't help you about the exchange, you asked over on Mac Rumors?
