Why is Grease coming back to cinema's? Is it everywhere or is my local cinema just showing it again for the hell of it?

They're probz gonna make a remake of it soon so they're showing the old one so people who haven't seen the old one can see it before a remake. I hate remakes of films tbh.

Cinemas often show older/classic films for a little while, haven't you ever noticed?

Yeah, E.T was in the cinema a few years back for a week or two. I think it was to celebrate the special edition release of it or something.
Their possibly creating a sequel to it. (Oh please I hope not) Or their going to bring out a 'Updated Version' Where the colors are HD or something just to give it one last blow. I dont know maybe their just showing it for a couple of weeks for some reason like Misawa said.

There is Zac Efron has been asked to be in the place of John Travolta lol

Please tell me your lying. Bad sequel plus Zac Efron. I'd rather eat glass then watch him. :eusa_doh:

I believe that the working title for High School Musical was Grease 3, so that is most likely where that rumour with Efron came from.

It says that it's first UK release was 14/9/1978, so its like 14th of this month when it was first release, on its 30th aniversary!

i doubt they'd make a sequel or update of Grease, have you happened to come across the disaster that is Grease 2?

That movie was dreadful. I liked about 4 minutes of it and that was one of the songs lmao.

I can say the same about the original Grease. The only musical I like is Troma's Poultrygeist: Night Of The Chicken Dead, which people really need to see when it is released.

some of the songs were okay but personally it was just terriable and overly predictable.

I wouldn't be surprised, they're remaking Rocky Horror Picture Show, Footloose, My Fair Lady and Jesus Christ Superstar. It's to cash in on the success of musical movies lately.
