He hasn't accepted.
Spurs have accepted the offer but Berbatov has not accepted a contract yet I don't think.

It was pretty obvious that when Man City put that massive bid in he was heading to the blue side of Manchester, and yet SSN continued to ask, "City or United?"

I think he'll go tbh, he'd be a fool not to, especially with names like David Villa linked to Man City now.

Didnt he say he wanted to go to a club with champions league football?

Mind you, he'd be a fool not to go.

um I just put SSN on again and now they're saying United are in pole position?

Pyroka

Man City got dangerously close to Everton, who were 5th & have qualified for the champions league before... With players like Berbatov, you know they'd overtake the likes of Liverpool who have been in 4th/5th place for the last 2 seasons.

Spanish media recently reporting £36.5 million pound bid from Real Madrid now. Wow. Perhaps that means Robinho will join Chelsea too.

Berbatov now in talks with Manchester UNITED.

Pyroka

Man Utd won't succumb to that, especially if they can't get Berbatov.

City have offered over £30m for Berbatov and Spurs have accepted the bid like they did for Man Utd I think? So that just means it all depends on which team Berbatov decides to join. He did say that he wants to join Manchester United, as they are looking to win the Premier League and Champions league.

Berbatov is going to Man City to discuss personal terms with Hughes, if he doesn't like the personal terms, he may just do a U-Turn and go to Man Utd. OR, despite Spurs accepting City's offer, Berbatov could be going to Man Utd anyway and signing for them.

So to be honest, no-one will know whether Berbatov will be in either Man City/Utd, until tonight I guess? When either team has his signature on there contract. This has got to be one of the most interesting signings in the history of football? Two rivals competing on the final day of the tranfer window for a player worth around £30m... lol.

City are in meeting or something because the guy who I get the information from has his phone switched off, it's never off unless it's a meeting of some kind. I just want to know who the **** it is because this morning he said it will be Berba and someone not from the UK.

Edit: I'd laugh if time ran out and he was stuck at Spurs bringing the morale down.

Ronaldinho! He's realised what a mistake it was to go to Milan over City, so hes coming to us!

Then I wake up and find that it was just a dream... aww :( PMSL!

Apparently Berbatov is in talks with Man Utd now...

I bet after all this, Man City won't sign anyone tonight, and Berbatov will stay at Spurs because he was too late to sign to anyone lol.

Man Utd are in trouble. :)

I bet Berbatov was coming to Man City in a limo, but the driver was Fergie and Fergie has driven Berbatov to Old Trafford to do personal terms with him. :P lol

He won't sign for City.

The only way he'll sign is if City offered 150,000+ a week and a clause that if they don't get into the Champions League next year he can leave for his minimum fee without question.

Yeah......

We can afford to do that, unlike United ;)

It's a weird saga. Manchester City have bid more so Tottenham want him to move there but Berbatov wants to move to Man Utd but Man Utd haven't offered enough.

I can see Berbatov going to Utd because Tottenham will want to cash in on an unhappy player with Tottenham accepting a lower bid from Man Utd.

Man City are just going to turn into another bloody chelsea when that arab or w/e buys them

Just because you've got money doesn't mean you'll sign him you know... QPR aren't rushing to sign everyone and they're... practically the richest club in the world.

I believe he will sign for City, with two other Bulgarians there (Petrov + Bojinov) makes it easier for him to settle.

I heard United currently have the upper hand and I believe he'll sign for United. He wants to play Champions League football and United can give him that straight away however if he moves to City he'll have to settle to UEFA Cup football for this season. Come on United! :)

01-09-2008, 06:22 PM
Laugh if QPR came in with a 60m, 250,000 a week deal.

I want him to go to United now, if he does a court case shall be held of which half of the league will be gunning for United to have points deducted due to the fact they haven't even got permission to talk to him.

JackBuddy
01-09-2008, 06:50 PM
Well Spurs have accepted a bid from city and not united, but Berbatov went to speak to Fergie without the club's permission. I guess we will know the outcome come midnight. If he did go to city it would suprise me, seeing as the reason he left Spurs was because he wanted C.league football. Whatever happens, I hope that what ever club signs him enjoy his tantrums and moaning. It's weird how this move is determing the future of Frazer-campbell, Diego Milito and probably many other man u / spurs targets. The sooner it is sorted the better.

21.38 Tottenham Hotspur striker Dimitar Berbatov is at Old Trafford as he gets set to complete his move to Manchester United. Berbatov has undergone a medical and has been pictured meeting Sir Alex Ferguson and David Gill at the club's stadium.

He'll sign because Spurs need the $$$ but afterwards they'll lodge a complaint but because it's Manchester United they'll get away with a silly fine.

LOL I HEAR LAWSUIIIT.

But it's Manchester United. They'll never lose. Always go for the big sides. Probably get a £2,000 fine or something.

I hope Berbatov signs for Man U then Petrov breaks his leg in the derby.

Well when was the last time someone illegally signed up a player without a clubs permission? It's almost thievery... in a way. I've never heard of it before, so I don't think they'll get away with just a fine.

Not really, Berbatov was told he could leave so he's free to talk to whoever he wishes however no deal is in place between MTD and SPURS

2236: Breaking news which might not be true but is still awesome: Dimitar Berbatov is on his way to Manchester United. Apparently, I've heard from a source (oh come on), United have now matched Man City's bid, throwing in Frazier Campbell as part of the deal. Now that, true or not, is breaking news.
