That's still very expensive, but I guess if you had to get one, the 16GB version would be value for money. £50 more for twice the memory is good, but still rediculously expensive really.

For a year of unlimited internet (which would be maybe £150 with an ISP over 12 months for just over £10 a month) plus 16GB of memory and a very modern and stylish phone, coming from a very luxurious brand. I don't think it's bad tbh.

Start work :)

This is better then OhMac, they will not get my business :)

This also includes unlimited browsing and Wi-Fi for the first 12 months after you activate your iPhone 3G*. At the end of the 12 months you can continue to receive unlimited browsing and Wi-Fi for just £10 per month. We'll notify you before the end of the 12 month period by text and you can easily unsubscribe if you choose to do so.

That means we get free Internet right?

Read the terms and conditions.

Still not better than a top of the line phone on a halfprice contract with unlimited WiFi and Web'n'walk IMO :P

You people are why we have this problem of companies charging loads for products. They set the high price tag and you blindly go out and buy it anyway. If everyone pays the high prices then they will just keep making the higher.

If you go to other countries like America and European nations you will find there items a lot cheaper because they arent prepared to pay the high prices like we do just because we want to have the "in thing"

Just to be clear this payg phone deal appears to give you 12 months of unlimited 3G web browsing/data and 12 months unlimited free wifi access through the UK BT Openzone and The Cloud public hotspots. After the 12 months you have to pay £10 a month to get the 3G data and wifi Hotspot access back but you get minutes and texts included then.

You have to buy a £10 topup to start off and so for a low user like me this equates to a 12 month contract at £30 a month followed by a drop down to £10 a month .... Hmm looks good to me 8-)

and the reality is that the iphone 3g probably costs less than £120 to manufacture as it's made in china or some eastern country. Yet they make us pay next to £400.

Right, so thats why the Greece PAYG is more dearer then the O2 is offering.

UK customers can buy an 8GB iPhone for £350, and a 16GB handset for £400. Both plans come with free web browsing for the first year. (After the first year, it's £10 per month for unlimited data.) Pricey. Less pricey than, say, Greece, but still pretty steep.

But they are made by cute girls though!
