Anyone actually bothered by this or not?

This has already been posted btw, and no I ain't that bothered by it. I don't want the world to end obviously, but there has been loads of these claims and they've all been false so far.

Oh wow, another LHC thread. It will not create a black hole, it's not powerful enough to sustain one and it would destroy itself immediately. Seriously, this has been posted over and over everywhere for months, stop it.

The earth is constantly being bombarded by high energy cosmic rays from space. Some of these (although they are very rare) have extremely high energies that even exceed the energies of collisions that will be taking place in the LHC. If high energy particle collisions could produce a black hole that would destroy the earth it would have already happened by now.

The sun lies anyway.
+ If I could be arsed going into it... I'd give the reasons why the world wont end. But since this is just going to be posted again in another day or so... I really can't be bothered
LOL
2 Months ago this said there was 10 days left
Think serious tho, if it was going to destroy the earth it would not be allowed to be made and used. Theres like a 0.000000000000000000000000000001% we are going to die. If what they want works were k.

Yeah, the chances are extremely minute that there will be black holes created and they would burn themselves out in the first hundreth of a second that they were created.
Nothing to worry about.
Anyway it was switched on for the first time in July. It will be fully operational on the 10th.
