Ok, a problem with the graphics card I just bought. The actual card can be found in an earlier thread, and basically when I open up the computer and put in the hardware, when i close it up and start up the computer, nothing appears on my monitor.

Is it something to do with the monitor, cos it isnt a bad 1 at all? (SyncMaster 932b)

Thanks

You sure the monitor is plugged into the outupt on the actual card itself (probably VGA) and not an integrated slot on something like the motherboard?

the outputs for the card are S-Video and Dual DVI. my monitor wont fit into any of those slots. so uhm, is there a cable i can get to get the monitor to connect, or am i gnna av to return another graphics card lol?

You will need a DVI to VGA converter. That's why you can't see anythibng lol ;). They usually give you an adapter with them.

First of all, is your monitor VGA or DVI?

Ok its DVI. You shouldn't need a converter at all. You should just be able to plug in the DVI cable from your monitor into one of the DVI ports on your graphic card. Just make sure your plugging it into your Graphics card one and not your motherboards.

It has both VGA and DVI like most new monitors. DVI cables are very expensive and the majority of people are still using the perfectly good VGA interface anyway.
