S'alright, the colours seems quite harsh though.
And I dislike the background. :)

Background was just a quick fiddle, didn't know what to do.

Heres a few key points for you to develop on:

Always work with harmonizing/contrasting colours
Keep the same corner width and height (you have about 5 different corner variations)
Move away from the hard stroke - try and flow
Rather than having bold spots of colour, have a nice steady flow of colour
Add dummy text - lorem ipsum. Maybe try adding some pictures too.
I think it needs more colour; blue, black and white doesn't really do much for me.

Keep working on your design work, its looking good. Look on other websites to get some ideas. Don't be afraid to have a flick through some tutorials in order to help your design skills.

Good luck.

I'm really sorry but that's terrible, and looks like a newbie has designed it.. I imagine you're not a newbie, so you could come up with something a lot better, I'd say:

- Change the fonts completely
- Drift away from using blue all over the place
- Don't outline bold fonts at that rate

Please take my advice into consideration. :P

You've done this on Fireworks?
Looks like it.
I don't like it.
Bad colours.
Bad fonts.

Does it matter if he's done it on fireworks or not?
It's down to personal preferance at the end of the day.

Anyway, C&C;

Use a lighter outline, maybe lower the opacity of it or just make it a colour that goes with the box colour. eg; a darker blue.
Try using a colour scheme ~ www.colourlovers.com

but other than that, the concept is decent.

No it doesn't matter. I just asked, because the firework layouts looks like this.
