I've been saving up for ages to get a new computer, and i'm madly in love with macs.

I've heard that sambroadcaster doesn't work on them, is this still the fact?
& are there any other programmes that don't work on them (knowing my luck they will all be programmes i use:P!)

Hey, yes Sam Broadcaster can't run on macs. But there is other DJing software you can use though. Most programs either work on mac or there is an equivalent. So if you have any on your mind just post and I be happy to let you know. On another note I had my mac since February this year and its been fantastic.

Hi,

You might want to take a look at a powerful application called CrossOver Mac (http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/) which allows you to run all your favourite Windows applications seamlessly on Mac OS X Leopard.

CrossOver does not directly support SAM Broadcaster, however with a few tweaks you should be ready to go.

If not, take a look some more advanced options such as Boot Camp (http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/bootcamp.html) which comes pre-installed with any Intel-based Mac running Mac OS X Leopard or any popular Windows Virtualization applications such as Parallels (http://www.parallels.com/) or VMWare (http://www.vmware.com/).

Good luck!

Your best bet as said is use mac for everyday usage then when you want to dj use bootcamp and run sam broadcaster.

if the computer doesn't come installed with that bootcamp, can you buy it seperatly?

If I remember correctly it's free: http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/bootcamp.html

But it does come free with leopard, which is auto installed on the latest macs
