They've lost more money because rachel won because her odds were much higher,
if you bet £3 on mikey, you won it back and 1 pound,
if you bet 5 quid on rachel, you won it back and 9 pound.

so its not fixed for bookies,
When it's final 2 mikey and rach, everyone would be like what you said "mikeys gonna win" so they aint gonna waste 35p on a vote, but then rachs fans would.

Not fixed, what can sometimes happen is Crime Syndicates put a lot of money on the least favourite, then they vote them to win, and incidentally, make a lot of profit.

It's not a fix, it still surprises me that people think that massive shows that draw in millions of votes can fix things just like that. They do have independent adjudicators, they don't have some 19 year old counting the votes.
