No, because our school have came down harsh on filter bypassers, and issue a computer ban of 1 month and a detention.

I don't really think I said what I meant, basically schools are cracking down on proxies so you'd be caught and punnished for going on Bebo or whatever, which you can do at home.

I don't go to school no more but my proxy (Using someone elses proxy), I basically have a frame with the proxy in, with another frame with Google in switching between both with just a key makes it easy to go on sites that are blocked but also allows you to switch quickly if a teacher is coming :)

I coded it whilst at school so its pretty poor but the concept is very good and effective.

Edit: I think I will re-code it (now) and give the source away. ;)

& Im going to code edit the proxy code a bit, adding a word filter cause I found people with bebo/myspace/facebook profiles with swearing in them made it filter the site either way.

At my school they just can't be bothered anymore, we all just change the proxy settings on the mozilla firefox settings to the teacher's internet connection (everything unblocked).

I would use it, but make it like the Google homepage, so no teachers know that its a proxy.

That isn't that harsh, I got excluded for trying to set up a proxy on the school network.

Our computers are managed by RM. And basically it filters mainly words like games & porn and any other stuff..

So...

Make one..
Because loads of people google for proxy sites, and mainly they are all blocked.

Sure, why not, it may be helpful to some, however my school has a system that prt screens every website you go on, looking for keywords and combing the code to make sure there's nothing in there, if there is, the network manager gets a txt msg with the screenshot and he can reply to it with what he wants to do e.g. 'ignore' or 'follow up' or 'action ban 7 days'

Good luck :-)

Yeah, at my old school it screenshotted things like swear words, cause I once typed in google "******* google it" cause my mate asked me a stupid question and It printed a screenshot and I was like uhh ****e...

If your releasing a proxy script for people to use make sure your web host allows it as some don't.

Some web hosts don't even allow you to use php to grab html and parse it anymore.

Ye this is why i am sorta asking as i will be buying a VPS to run it on as it is just not fair to run it on shared hosting. I have checked with the VPS host and they say its fine.
