1. Hover down to the status bar at the bottom (its red)
2. Click the red bar
3. Press Enter on your keyboard
4. A login box should appear, username: disasterpiece password: password
5. Proxy layer should show

Having many different features including

Account registration, can be turned on/off.
Accounts, can be turned on/off.

Change different search engine (or site) on back iframe and if google, can take over their adverts with yours (Might be illegal).

Turn site on/off, with site maintenance message.

Easy changing of different keyCodes when clicking red bar (Using keyCode numbers, enter = 13)

Swear word feature, filters pages shown so if a site has swear words what a filter still picks up, it removes them before showing them. You can add swear words at any time, and have the word you wish to replace them with, eg: "bobba", lawl.

Any more features you'd like to see, please post below.

Thats about it for now, you'll be looking at the one im working on atm, so there are a few errors, but get over it.

Cause It only allows one person per account to login, you might get logged out by someone else.

It's a nice idea, but it's really hard to get the red bar to show up. Especially seen as the majority of public schools use small screens, people tend to turn the Status Bar off, when I did, I couldn't find the bar.

Quite inconspicuous (sp.) though, well done. :)

More and more I look at this UI it looks really impressive. If you want to take it to a higher level check out YUI design patterns (actual design), as in spotlighting etc. It's really cool, and all this has been proven to help people know where to look at things, or denote an event that has just happened.

That is awesome. Possibly make the Successful Login box draggable? I likes to drag things.

TheProtege
09-09-2008, 07:38 PM
I could make them all draggable if I wanted too, maybe I will depending on my mood - I can add it to the options to say if you want htem draggableor not.

I shall be updating on this account now :) Currently re-doing parts of phproxy and adding the filter in to filter rude words that sometimes the school/college filters sometimes filter out on a page.

I don't know of any schools which use firefox...
None of the ones in my area do because it's more stuff for the technicians to install. Lazy sods.

Its just a CSS thing, Im not a expert at css but i'll come round to fix it, its just the bottom bar not showing up when you hover as its behind I the iframe I believe.

Source
12-09-2008, 05:45 PM
I believe it would be assigning a Z-Index to the 2, iframe been 0 or 1 and the bottom div higher. You get the idea :)

Protege
12-09-2008, 10:09 PM
Yeah though I think if I remember probably that there are prob in IE with z-index and positioned divs etc, i'll **** around with it later.

Should work now :) I havent added anything from my last update, so don't expect anything new.

& Anyone want to re-do the CSS for me, go ahead it be most appreciated. The bar at the bottom, really I want to be above the iFrame, like I had on firefox before I changed it.
