You are a footballer playing in the Championship with the team, you loved, supported and watched every week as a boy. You've lived your dream of playing for your club. You're one of the best players in the Championship and big Premier League clubs have bid for you. Last week, you scored the winning goal in the Play-Off final and your team has been promoted to the Premier League. It's the first time your club has played at the top level since 1947. It's, probably, the only time your team will reach the Premier League whilst you are still playing football. You are good enough for the Premier League.

What do you do? Join the big team or play in the Premier League with your much loved club.

Interesting to see what everybody's views are on this.

Personally, I'd join the big club. I'd have more chance of enchancing my career and I could still follow my club. Once my career has finished, I can continue to support my club. In that situation, it would be a very, very, very hard situation.

If Southend did that.

I would stay with my team.

It would be a one off to be in Prem.

And I wouldnt have it with any team then my own club.

If the money goes up, you might aswell go up, if it helps your career by going to a bigger club, then go. You can't really stick with a team just because you supported it your whole life.

Depends how much of your heart is in the club.

If your loved by fans and you love it there.

There is no reason to change.

But if you wanted to progess and try and earn a cap for your country then moving would be the best move.

well, had my club still been in the Championship, I would've said i'd move, but seen as we're in the prem I'd stay with my club and if we then go down I might sign for a bigger club. if anything else, atleast I get to prove my self at prem level.

Sometimes in life you have to be a bit selfish in terms of what is best for yourself.

True .

I would see it as how much football you would be given.

Often championship stay on the bench a bit if bought a prem club.

I would rather play first team football then reserve so if the prem club could only offer reserve then I would stay put.

It would really depend on the circumstances.

If you getting paid a pittance I would go to the big club but if not, I would stay.

Support Liverpool so they already are a top class team. I wouldn't do a Rooney. Support Everton my whole life and then go to Man U. If Man U asked me to sign for them from Liverpool i'd laugh at them.

Dont support a team in the Championship but okay. I'd go to the better prem club.
