Say I have some videos that I've made, plus some from my mates, how do I put them onto a dvd to play in a dvd player ().

I have a converter for almost all video extensions, and it does have a SVCD option which doesn't work.

anybody know any other alternatives, or wana talk me through it, or link to tutorials?

I would be very grateful and +rep to all (Y)

Personally I use Nero for this, itll let you add video files etc... and itll convert them, make a menu etc... all in one, for you, no hassle.

As always with this question I have to recommend DVDFlick, does it all perfectly with one click (i.e. conversion and burning) and you can set chapter points and all that. Its all free, just google it :)

It can do any format, I'm not 100% about the menu though, play around with it :)

Yes, MP3 is only an audio format. This format cannot burn to video DVD.
Maybe your video is MP4 format. You can use total video2dvd (http://www.effectmatrix.com/total_video_to_DVD_Author/index.htm) to make conversion and burning to DVD.

You must have a DVD-burner, a few DVD+-R or DVD+-rw discs and softwares for converting and burning. If you did not have any burning experince, DVD+-rw DISC is recommended for it can erase lots of times.
