Bloody credit crunch... It's a shame to see such a successful fansite closing. Although I never used it, not often enough to know much about the site. They must have worked hard to be official on all the Hotel's they were on.

And in the past few days, they were on a maintenance...

I workED on Habbos.NET, and found it such a mature forum, a lot better than this one.
Premium could not be sold anymore, and I think this was partially the reason it is gone, but I know that everybody grows up & looses interest in Habbos, which is understandible.

It was good whilst it lasted, maybe some more mature members will join habboxforum now!

I have to say that it's a shame they've closed - but having adverts on a closed page.. it's just.. GREEDY.

"Hello to all of you who just payed for premium, sorry you won't get a chance to use it but just click the ads below and you can give me some more money for free!!!1"

get your facts right please - nobody could buy premium it had been down for ages & was given away free recently.

Secondly - I didn't say habbos.net was a better forum than habboxforum, just a more mature one.

Hey guys,

Thomas here (habbos.net management) thanks for the comments (L)

It's really shocking to see how many people are affected by this, on our habbo groups people are saying they're upset - I'll miss habbos and have loved working on it.

Adios!

I always felt Habbos.net was 'Laid out for them' to be fair and I think there 'Good bye' page is a little harsh. I never really get into the swing of the forum but it looked a lot closer knitted and more fun community but I just never got the grasp of it, sometimes everyone being in the timezone can be a good thing, like most are on HabboxForum. It was a lot more Habbo-like and some phenomenal skins.

First of all they got their start from the best fansite ever closing, Habbos.co.uk, that was a huge boost for the forum and it suddenly went into life.

The sly dig at HabboHut is particually unfair too 'We were the only fansite without staff endorsement to be granted official status on all 5 English-speaking hotels.' - So your telling me, Callie didn't endorse Habbos.ca (To become Habbos.NET) hugely in the UK? Callie did a lot for the site in the beginning, originally a lot of the members where either from Habbos.co.uk or from Callie hugely promoting the site on Habbo UK (Hotel alerts etc) because of her relationship with Andy?

I don't see a thanks to either Habbos.co.uk or Callie in your good bye page, but you have the cheek to poke fun at HabboHut because Andy never got on well with Becs. I'm not a HabboHut fan and Becs made HabboHut what it was, it would of failed ages ago if it wasn't for her, but I can't help feeling you've had an easy ride.

Habbos.co.uk and Habbox.com worked their way up properly.

Incredibly good post to read :) I forgot Habbos.ca and Habbos.NET were by the same person and I forgot Andy (Evolution?) got alot of back-up at the start from Habbo Staff. Without them, it would of not of been what it is today. I've not seen alot from Habbos.NET, but I know enough from their Goodbye Page that the people behind it seem like arrogant prunes.

Especially when they close the site down because of what they thought, and not because of others. Someone could of easily taken over, like what happens when Habbox lose a GM. All they need is an owner, you don't necessarily have to be a Habbo fan either...

To be honest habbos was a joke from the start, they got spoon fed by Callie because andy probably got out his maggot out for her on msn and she then gave habbos an unfair advantage.

lol.

lets be realistic here. yes, callie endorsed the site to a small extent on the uk hotel for a while but that was over 2 years ago. habbos.net [earlier known as habbos.ca] was an official site on habbo canada before it was official anywhere else. regardless of it's previous support from callie habbos has never been as popular on the uk hotel as it was in other countries. the site, its staff and the users alike all worked hard to gain its 5 official statuses as fairly and respectably as possible (for the record - the site was actually voted into all 5 of its official statuses).

and for those who said habbohut is just as popular - it only became official because of becs. hypocrites much?

In my opinion, i thought that Habbos.net outclassed Habbox alot in the past, but Habbos.net wasn't my type of forum though, i prefer Habbox...

I agree with Jordy, Callie backed Andy alot, remember the competition of hotel manager for a week, which Andy won, They became quite close toegether after that..

Habbos was backed by Callie, But fair enough it was a good site, The members on there were fairly nieve though, Although the skins were amazing, the competitons were amazing.
They deserved all the support they got in my eyes.
& LOL at who ever said HabboHut is as popular.
HabbboHut is a failure it used to be a success, Its just been let to die. Becs said a while back she still owns it lol.

Habbos was good if you were an American/Canadian etc resident, that's probably why Habbox kicked off more because it's more of a British surrounding, (UK trading and such) and it's sad to see Habbos closing. :( Anyone know if it's going up for sale so that it can still continue its era?

Seems to be doing very well considering it was only setup hours after it went down.
