Hello,

My name is Ryann, and i enjoy Trainspoting. My friend callum and i are very interested in trainspoting and everything associated with it.

I would be most gratefull if you could post your thoughts on trains and trainspotting in general.

Thank you in advance

Personally, I think trainspotting is just sad. I see people down Cardiff writing down numbers of trains. "Oh, as you can see here we have the Arriva Trains Wales 1056 service running, approximately, 32 seconds late. It's one of the newer versions as see by the engine. Oh, and look here we have the Great Western 1918 model which was made in Portland Docks, Cardiff at 1056 on Saturday, 18th December."

What's fun about standing on a platform watching trains go past?

Wow, take it easy on him, he only wants to know if anybody trainspots. No need to rip him to shreds. Anyway, no I don't train spot but I live very close to some tracks and it gets lots of steam trains on it.

And no, I don't, but I take a train everday to school and back, so I live near a station.

No, I don't take an interest in watching trains/cars/planes/birds because I have a sex life.Just because his hobbie is watching trains doesn't mean it's his life. One of your hobbies is probably using the internet like it is for most people on this forum, it doesn't mean the forum is their life. And what's a hobbie have to do with a sex life? If your trying to look big because someone's posting about their hobbies which is stereotypically 'sad', your certainly not gaining any respect from me.

Personally I think it's all writing down numbers of buses, trains, planes or space shuttles whatever sort of 'Transport Spotting' you do.

Sounds sad to me. You see trains go by, take a photo and get their number. Very interesting and exciting. :S

This goes for train & plane spotting. It is your opinion if you think its sad and all that, but its up to the person if thats what they like doing as a hobby. Not your job to judge the person because he train spots. I see nothing wrong with them doing it, I mean its only for some fun? and something to do every so often. (This is just my view)
