Time has come for me to leave.

Kind of getting bored, too many annoying people on here. For the people that aren't, thanks for making my stay enjoyable. The flaming/trolling on here is getting unbearable. So maybe I'll be back some time. But for a while I'm going to go to other forums, people on here are just way too egotistical, many of you will say the same about me. The sad thing is people will say I lie or something like that, then when I provide 'proof', they give some inconsequential grunt of a response that's supposed to be an insult. Anyway, hope you guys all do well. I might come back soon. Hopefully this generation of idiots will leave at some point. Funnily enough, only D&D is that bad. All the other forums are really good. That and maybe the Technology forum. People also seem to get very jealous, saying things like "You don't even appreciate that," "give it to somebody who would appreciate it." Which is kind of pointless considering that everybody in those two forums thinks that they are the best at everything in their 'field'. Which creates huge arguments about so and so doesn't know anything. I join in. I can't help it, in case anybody was wondering it usually works like this:

1. A says something controversial
2. B says something against what A said
3. A & B try to prove each other wrong
4. A & B now hate each other
5. At every point, A & B now try and correct each other, resulting in many arguments, and many non-hate threads turning into arguments, spam, and then some.

This is somewhat of a small-minded view on this. It's just a basic example to give anybody who doesn't get what is happening clued in.

So D&D is just a version of this with a few complexities magnified by one hundred. Not fun. It's become almost tiring to try and post in there, literally, because of the hate people show, if pretty much anybody posted a legitimate thread in there people will jump on them, often with silly responses that don't even make sense.

And then if anybody comes in there posting a thread, people usually just link them to a Google search, along with a snide comment, which usually then sparks an argument, in a thread where the OP is not even doing anything, people need to use something called Private Messaging. Nobody does anymore. Probably because it's like removed from your user thing at the top, well at least, it is for me.

In fact, the idea of posting a link to a Google search is completely stupid, I don't understand why anybody would do this, considering a forum is for discussing, a concept which many users are still to grasp, maybe users could have a discussion about a topic like that, or something on the same lines.

Another point, a while ago Elkaa posted an announcement about zero toleration on trolls, in D&D and Sports, seeing as those were the main culprits. I don't even know what happened with that, that's the problem with the entire system. Maybe less knowledgeable users might not be able to sign up after a permanent ban, but the users in D&D are clever enough to figure out how to change things like that. This makes it near impossible to block off bad users. I'm pretty sure some of them are banned, but they just re-appear with names such as Old-user-1. Or something like that. Which makes it impossible to keep bad users off, so what is the point of it in the first place.

Again, there are also users who keep multiple accounts, I don't know if this is a rule or not, but it's stupid to be honest. I've seen a lot of users, who have multiple accounts, and post on multiple accounts, almost systematically. I don't understand how moderators don't do anything about this.

This brings me to my final point, moderation. Or the lack thereof. Moderation is almost nonexistent, it seems that moderators follow most things to the letter. Which isn't bad in some case. But they need better systems for moderation, like when I had a picture of myself posted in a thread I made, it got removed, and the user probably got an infraction, then just recently, they made a totally uncalled for post, with that same picture in it again. It got removed and the thread got closed and the user got *cautioned*. Sorry, but what the hell is that? *cautioned*? He posted me twice, he obviously didn't learn his lesson, and he even commented on that, I spoke to the moderator who addressed the problem, and I then PM'd joshuar, who told me to forward it to Professor-Alex, and I did, as of yet, I've not to receive a response. To be honest, I don't care, even somebody as stupid as he is knows that he can easily make a new account even after a permanent ban.

Well, sorry my farewell message turned into a rant.

Over and out, (after I reply to these comments).

Charlie.

I think there should be more to moderation than applying to become one. I think moderators should be hand-picked from their posts, attitude, post-reports etc and have applications ruled out completely. I know prof-alex and other mods see other users and reccommend them, but this should be what happens all the time and not have any applications, as it doesn't really show the truth person, they could lie and then get the job, and only do a job to minimum satifaction so not to be fired.

I mean if they had a very active user who is quick to posts (e.g jesus).. these are the people we want. I'm quick at getting to posts, hence the amount of post-reports I did (which was notified my Smod but nothing every became of it :()

Anywayy
