Change your thread display mode in User CP options to "Linear - Old"

I've never had that, I don't think so anyway. I think it's to do with display modes. If you press display mode, which is below the banner on the far right, that might change it but I donno.

Thats Hybrid mode. If you want it without that go to Linear mode. (See post above)
