hey, how do you make it from being horizontal to vertical when viewing a post?

You can only change this if your a Forum Administrator. You goto VB Options > Style and Language Settings > Use Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template > Yes = Legacy (Vertical) No = Horizontal.

Although if you have it set to say yes then i think in a Styles Template, if you paste the postbit contents into the postbit_legacy then it will go horizontal.
