i reckon it's gonna recover, but probably take abit longer than expected, give it a couple of years. People just need to be sensible.

Just adding info tbh.
Although I said it was good for the Economy (which I will stand by), it did make my dad redundant. I still believe it will do the UK some good. :)

I reckon it's been over exaggerated by the tabloids, media and supermarkets trying to cash in on it. I think it's past it's worst now and will probably recover by 2009.

I hate it. Loads of my friends from work got made redundant. Only reason company is still up is cos we have a community project and the council aren't allowed to stop it. If we didn't have it, we'd be gone. All our other jobs are getting pushed back.

It's not getting better atm - House prices fell again.

Doesn't affect me all that much seeing as both of my parents work for the local government or government and my family doesn't have a mortgage.

Only thing we have to deal with is rising prices. House prices falling is bad if people stop paying their mortgages, but if everyone keeps paying it'll be fine and we'll ride it out. What worries me is the amount of national debt this country has (and the USA). The USA owe $10trillion to the Chinese or something.

Not trying to troll but I'm sick of hearing about it.
Everywhere you turn there's something about it.
It also enrages me that supermakets and other stores and trying to make money from it.

What do you mean by 'what's your opinion?' in what way?

Well, my pint of milk has gone from 40p to 43p and my panini has gone from 90p to £1.20...

It's so terrible :(

But being serious, my house has lost about £12,000 in price... It's still £45,000 more than we paid for it though.

Supermarkets and advertisers are just making money over what the media has totally blown out of proportion.

It's not that bad.
