So im thinking about getting a PS3.

So I have had my 360 since Christmas '06 and its starting to get boring, with lack of blockbuster titles, and the only future progress they seem to be making is Avatars and New Xbox Experiance.. I am wanting something new.


Obviously I grew up playing Playstation 1 and 2, and I have played on the PS3 a few times. I was just seeing how you all think yours is before I get one.


Home looks pretty badass. The rumors atm are strong that 1.0 will be out next month. Along with LittleBigPlanet. I think Home will become one of the PS3's main selling points.

There is also more big titles coming out on the PS3, LittleBigPlanet being one.

So do you think I should get one? It will be for Christmas (feels like ages away..) but I do not have anything planned on what I want this year..

Are they worth the money?

If you want bluray, get the PS3. If not, stick with your 360.

I will be keeping my 360, I just think I need something new as the 360 is getting boring. No-one bothers to play online apart from COD.

Blu-ray will be class.

Our family has a Wii and frankly they are crap. For family gaming then yeah, but not serious gaming. It just fails at that.

PS3 has a great future ahead, but so does the 360. The Wii's future doesn't look too shabby, but I'd say the best duo combo to have is a PS3 and 360

New Xbox Experience and Home will be the two buying points for both consoles.. the wii is still just a Party gaming system IMO.

I agree entirely about the Wii.

I have both, but I never bother with the XBOX 360, I need to eBay it. All the games I've wanted have been on the PS3 and as far as I'm concerned, I can see that the graphics on the PlayStation are a little better, there's Blu-Ray, and a brighter future than the 360's. I find the PS3 to be an ever-evolving ultimate entertainment machine, rather than a video games console.

Yeah. The games coming out for it look incredible, LittleBigPlanet has totally knocked my socks off. Cant wait to get it now :)
