Well i got members a few days ago put on some nice armour took a pic upload it, was gona post it in post your looks thread but to my shock i find its been locked.
Then i tidy my bank and take a pic upload it and try to post it....to find out its been locked.
Then i do a clue and get a robin hood hat i was like OMMGG!!!! gota post this to show off...post your clue scrolls locked :(
Then i go killing some steal dragon and get dragon legs i was like OOO!!!!! i can show off with this...go to post it in post your drops to find out its locked!!
Also i went on my pure and got 65 range and i wanted evryone to see go on post your pures to find out its locked!
What the .... is happening????? I wasted all that time trying to post these really cool stuff and you look all the threads i want my time back :@ if not my time open the threads.

they are locking the rs forum threads that are being "Spammed for post counts".

That just mean when they where being spammed they stayed opend now that people actually wana post real things they close them :'(
Also the post your clue and reward thread where not really being spammed how comes they where closed?
The announcements in the Runescape forum explain why they were closed.

I hate it when threads get locked due to arguments starting :o if the thread starter was causing trouble then lock them otherwise edit the trouble making posts and deal with the rule breakers harshly.
no idea why runescape threads were locked ive not looked but my comments are about all threads.

but at least you could still go to other forums and say what you are eating/drinking, listening to, wearing, going on holiday, what sport you play, what car you have and what film you last saw. (Or maybe pop down to the forum games section and get an infinite amount of posts for no apparent reason or maybe even go to the hello/goodbye forums and post in every thread for the sake of it) :) x

The reasons for it were posted in the announcement Hiro linked to. Their future is currently being discussed among forum management along with the threads Jackbuddy brought up.

Nah, it was because people posted in them for the sole reason of post count. "Nice bank" "Nice look" right after each other, even though no one has posted their look for pages. Also, you didn't do any of them, you're just trying to get noticed really.

Its organised if he makes one thread, and says like "Look at my stuff" - Threads such as the ones that JackBuddy are just used for post counts, it seems reasonable for them to have been locked.

There's nothing from stopping him posting them in a new thread.
They would have to be sufficiently "epic" or they'll just be locked because that'd just be avoiding the lock.
Uhh i think he ment like make a new thread for just that not a new thread for Pot your looks, i think :S
Why didn't you take a hint after you saw the first 2 or 3 were closed? :S

That may - be true although, do you think no one spams the Music threads "post whta song your listening to" because i could just go there all day and keep typing all the songs im listening to.

Okay, but maybe i find it interesting seeing what people think of banks?
Also they closed and moved the thread Imnotpure made about what song in rs your listening to, and people posted in it yet it got removed? I don't knw why that was? It was basically like the Music 1 except in game music.

Well you just made my point, The in game RS music is pretty much EXACTLY like the "What Song are you Listening to?" But it got closed... and it really wasn't being spammed unless typng the song your litening to is spam ? Which therefore the Music 1 should be closed.

Umm actually music is anything you want it to be, be tapping a penicl on my desk is music, just depends how you look at it.
At the end of the day, management have already replied to over 4 of these threads, and the point of the fact is that management are reviewing ALL threads like the ones in the RS section.
Personally, I think that all threads like it should be moved to Forum Games (which should have post increments disabled) or shouldn't be posted at all, as many users just use them to increase post count as they think it makes them "better" than everyone else.
Finally someone says it, that its not just us...

Also its not hurting anyone by saying nice bank etc isit? Its a forum i dont think anyone is really botherd about how many post people got.
You also say all threads are gona be reviewd yet thier still all open apart from the rs ones.
Also if you take a look at the rs threads which have been closed you would of noticed that people actually stopped spamming but yet you close it when the spamming has stopped?
Also Imnotpure's thread was a good thread nothing wrong with it it is music. You cannot say its not real music because it is classed as music just because its game music dosent mean its not real.
Yes them threads did get spammed and i did take part in that spamming i aint gona lie. However people did stop spamming and therefore should of never been loked and i think its time to open them.

because the RS clan of peeps where rebelling and making the most pointless threads possible also what theyve got 535 tracks around there anyway
more than likely the smae one will be played constantly
with in life music theyre hundres of thousands of tracks around the world
so your bound to get different music tracks said rather than
varrock square
varrock square again...
etc...
