samsaBEAR

I'm well into hardcore music atm, bands such as;

The Ghost Of A Thousand
Deez Nuts
The Red Shore
Bury Tomorrow
I Killed The Prom Queen
Bring Me The Horizon (Altho the older stuff is more deathcore than hardcore)

Just wondering if anyone else is into it, and if anyone could recommend me some more bands?

Yeah I'm seeing them in Llandudno, the support is Fellsilent, DJ PDex (Who is actually the brother of Rory, Enter Shikari's guitarist) and My Turn To Kill - who are a faggy pop emo band.
I'm well looking forward to Fellsilent.
And thanks for the rep.

what the hell is the difference between hardcore and deathcore and thrashcore and all that other core crap

samsaBEAR
01-10-2008, 07:35 PM
deathcore is like old bring me the horizon, like proper growly stuff
hardcore has a different sound, its screamy, but at the same time, it doesnt have to be screamy
its hard to explain
someone else try? ;D

omg there's like two good bands in this whole thread :( FATA and Comeback Kid

I still don't get the real appeal of most metal music and especially hardcore, it seems to be scene kids with too much anger who hate authority for... some unknown reason and think they're well political. I'm not just generalising, I've met a lot of these sorts of people (ex gf's mates.. funfunfun) and frankly just the people put me off, let alone the actual music they thought they were making

also whats hardcore rock? :$ Like heavy rock music or is it totally different? :S

FlyingJesus

Hardcore is supposedly "hardcore punk" but it's not much akin to the Misfits (who most hardcore bands claim to idolise) or any other punk music really. It does fall more into the metal category imo

tbh, i dont like the music for any particular reason other than the fact i just like the way it sounds. i hate metal, i find 95% of it to be all 5 minute long, stupidly fast, stupidly high pitched solos, with bad vocals and the same doouble bass throuout. whereas with hardcore, idk, i just find it appealing. i cant really explain it :D
and i have a wonderful taste in music, please dont lol at it to beth :'(

It's ok her music taste is terrible too lol
