that bottom picture looks ridiculous, they wouldn't suit the colour of your car and tyre-stretching to that extent is illegal.

yeah it may be illegal, but I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people do it anyway and dont get caught.
I'm not too keen on the rims :(.

naaaaaaaaa. i swear the tyres are illegal like jamie said
I don't get why people stretch tyres. What does it do apart from make them stick out slightly and look slightly different? Is it to do with a sightly lower ride height or something?
stretching tyres reduces sidewall flex, gives a wider appeal to the wheel and allows the wheel to sit more flush in the wheel arch, will probs go for polished lips.
oh & tyre stretching isnt illegal.

It may not be illegal, but I'm sure your insurance company may have the right to refuse to give you any money if you have an accident.

The car and the wheels look terrible, why would you buy such a thing. Enjoy crashing at 100mph and killing yourself in the process :)

my current tyres need replacing and I bought new wheels instead of paying the 400 for tyres :rolleyes:
will eventually get round to changing the lip of the rim to silver (polished)

oh & tyre stretching isnt illegal.Council Directive 78/549/EEC of 12 June 1978 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to the wheel guards of motor vehicles
2.1.2. The rear of the wheel guards must not terminate above a horizontal plane 150 mm above the axis of rotation of the wheels (as measured at the wheel centres) and furthermore the intersection of the edge of the wheel guard with this plane (point A, figure 1) must lie outside the median longitudinal plane of the tyre, or in the case of twin wheels the median longitudinal plane of the outermost tyre.
2.1.3. The contour and location of the wheel guards shall be such that they are as close to the tyre as possible ; and in particular within the part formed by the radial planes referred to in 2.1.1, they shall satisfy the following requirements: 2.1.3.1. the projection - situated in the vertical plane of the tyre axis - of the depth (p) of the outer edge of the wheel guards, measured in the vertical longitudinal plane passing through the centre of the tyre, must be at least 30 mm. This depth (p) may be reduced progressively to zero at the radial planes specified in 2.1.1;

it's not a bora, the side rubstrips are different, the bora rubstrips start a few inches in from the door where on the pic those rubstrips meet the arch on both sides, also the bumper lines are different.
