Just wondered how long everyone has had internet and computer access.
I was just looking through some broadband records and we've had broadband since January 2003, though we trialled dial-up a little in 2002. Our first family computer would of been in about the year 2000-2001 and it was a Dell XPS Windows 98 computer (XPS sounds good these days, back in the day it was far from it). We weren't that early of family's to get a computer and get online, but we weren't really late either.

1998, Windows '98, Dial-up :D
PC was a Packard Bell, probably had 128MB RAM.
Then around 2002 we got an Acer laptop, very crappy, 256MB RAM, dial-up (no wireless) :'(
Then 2006 I got an Acer Desktop - very good, lasted me for a few years.
Then in June this year I got a Dell Laptop, tis excellent.

We've had a computer since about 1998 and we've had AOL for about 8 years. Started on dial up and about 3 years later switched to AOL broadband which I'm still on now.

We had a computer in 1994 or before, we had Windows 3.1 on it before we upgraded to a slightly better machine in 1996 with Windows 95 on it. We kept that machine until about 2001 and got a custom built machine with Windows ME on it, we still have that case but have slowly upgraded the parts over the years, it now runs Windows XP, but is slow by todays standards.
We got the internet in 2001 with the new computer, started on BT, then we got Liberty Surf (which was really popular as it was £20 for a year, took about an hour to get online cause of the demand), then we eventually got NTL Broadband in early 2004 and then moved onto Sky Broadband which is where we are now :)

Loads lol. There was a Packard Bell PC which was ME, another Packard Bell PC which was ME, a Dell with 98 which used dial-up (I think) and a few Amigas. I think there was a 95 PC too, somewhere. I remember being 4 and having a PC (Amiga). That was fun :)

First one we got was a Tiny in 1999 I think which ran Windows 98. Had the same PC up until 2003 (upgraded to ME in 2002 I think). Got NTL Broadband on it around 2000. Got my old Dell Dimension in 2004 with AOL Dial up, had 256mb RAM and 80GB HDD, and broadband a couple of months later. Got my Packard Belll iPower in February which I still got now and has 2GB RAM and 500GB HDD, seems like such a luxury now :p
Got my first in 1996 with Windows 95. Then upgraded to 98 when it came out. Then, when XP came out, we got that. xD
AOL dial-up ftw.
