k so last tuesday my mum upgraded our vm broadband from 2mb to 20mb and they said that it would be done in a few hours..
Its been a week and I'm still getting the same speed from when I had 2mb.. my mum called em up on thursday and they checked it and said that we are on 20mb and that it should be working
BUT IT ISN'T!!!111
Could anyone reply with possible problems which could be stopping me from getting my new speed?
what I've tried so far.......
Taking the power out of the modem for 10-30 seconds and plugging it back in
Plugging the modem directly into my computer instead of through the router
any others which I should try??

Is there a reset button on your router?

My router is set up like yours too and mine works fine. Erm, just try resetting the modem. If it's one of those little button things, push a pencil or pin into it for 5 seconds. Sorry if you've tried that already. You could also try unplugging all cables from the modem/telephone line/router and turn the PC off for about a minute, then plug them all in again after a minute and turn the PC on.
Leave the power off for about 5 minutes lol, usually works.
