Has anybody seen this? I first noticed it in a PS3 sales manual the other day in GAME. Looks quite good, but I've done a bit of research and it keeps being postponed for some reason. Here is the Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_Home#September_2008

The PS3 Home official manager said its out next month. I am getting my PS3 for Christmas so I cant wait!

Will be fun to buy a nice big apartment with a Pool table... and throw a Bravia down the stairs!

There will be ads in it I believe, and can't remember how it is supported.. it's free to join and walk around, but I think some things are paid for.

I bet achivements unlock special items to put into your "apartment" and to sell or something.

They say Sims because the graphics of this relate to the Sims graphics ;P They are both a simulation system.. but I think home looks a little better then Sims^_^.

The closed beta has been going on or about a month now for those in the USA. There will then be the open beta.

Yeah, I think that the current BETA testers could invite people.. or Playstation Magazine people one..

It was definitely official. I remember now that if you downloaded the PlayStation Home theme, you were eligible to be selected to join the beta. The day came, and invites were send to random downloaders of the theme via email.

yeh, thats what i heard anyway. known about it for a year now and im still excited about it. You can invite your friends to online games and join in 1 game (so youll always get in the same room) display trophies in cabinets in ur apartments etc. The characters are FULLY customizable. Any skin tone (within reason) hair colour, lip size/colour etc

looks and sounds awesome, its just whether it lives upto its name like LBP

well people have preferences. I think its innovative and theirs nothing out there like it on a console. Its just good that your able to download user content levels, rate it and make your own levels. Not everything is about graphics and what it looks like

same. its about being able to chat to friends youve made and to join the games you have. A place to show people your achievements and to catch up with things. Not a place like sims where you make houses, or do missions :)
