Dead Set is a horror spin-off from the British version of Big Brother. Unlike the parent show, this is straight dramatic horror featuring the shows presenters, but with actors playing the house mates. The plot involves a zombie outbreak which strands the housemates inside the Big Brother house. Although the house is one of the only places left were people can shelter from the zombie attack, the infection soon seeps in and what follows is an unimaginable terror.

As far as I know there's no date set in stone although I've heard rumours that it will be broadcast over Halloween (which makes sense). :)

EDIT: Actually, it seems the Wikipedia page has been updated. The first episode will air on Monday 27th October with another episode airing every night of the week until the final airs on Halloween itself. As far as I was told on Saturday, it's a series.

It was alright, probably going to be a hit due to the Big Brother theme.

It starts on Monday and there are five episodes. The first is on for 70 minutes (including adverts) and the rest are all on for 35 minutes. The DVD will be released on 3rd November with a runtime of 138 minutes although there will probably be some extras.

I'll probably miss it. Weird concept of having the first being 1 hour, then the following 4 episodes being 30 minutes long. I suppose they can get the whole story going in the first episode and then cruise through the remaining 4 easier then, I dont think this would of got as many views as it would of if it wasn't based on Big Brother.

Episode One
During eviction night on Big Brother, there are reports of disturbances and riots all over the country and the live show may have to be cancelled. Runner Kelly is having to avoid calls from her long-term boyfriend who keeps ringing to find out exactly why she did not come home last night. As tearful Pippa is evicted from the house and interviewed by Davina, all hell breaks loose.

Episode Two
After an encounter with a zombie, Riq meets lone armed survivor Alex. The pair team up and escape the zombies by hiding in an abandoned country house. Big Brother producer Patrick is stuck in the green room with newly evicted Pippa with no communication to the outside world and a blood-thirsty Davina patrolling the corridor outside. Back in the BB house, Grayson tries to nurse Angel whose health is rapidly deteriorating. Having found safety inside the BB house, Kelly now has to venture outside.

Episode Three
At the country house Riq turns on the E4 live feed to try and determine what has happened at the Big Brother studio. In the greenhouse Grayson tries to comfort Angel. But when she stops breathing Grayson realises he needs to kill her in case she turns into a zombie. Riq sees the housemates re-entering the BB house and is relieved to see Kelly on screen.

Episode Four
Riq decides he must leave the safety of the country house in order to get to Kelly. The rest of the housemates are having dinner when suddenly a Big Brother voice comes over the loud speaker. The housemates think they are being rescued but Kelly recognises Patrick's voice. Patrick is hatching an escape plan. Kelly desperately tries to reason with him as the entire compound is surrounded by zombies.

Episode Five
Massive numbers of undead gather at the studio gates and Patrick, Kelly and the housemates are forced to make some agonizing decisions. Who will survive - and what will be left of them?

I'm working for a major independent production company at this moment in time producing an anthology of short films.
