Nintendo has said that starting from spring 2009, customers will be able to download software directly onto SD cards via the Wii shopping channel.
Although this is no Wii HD, it's still a small step forward.
There were so many rumors going on for the past week or so regarding "Wii HD" which was supposedly to be announced today.
Thoughts?
If Wii had a HD, I reckon it would sell more, but I guess it depends what they put on the market, etc.

Wii HD means nothing to me, the games are good either way. Storage is a problem though. Do Wii consoles take 8GB SD cards? I know they're a bit different design wise, but may come in some use. All I know is that some cameras don't accept them.

As far as I know the Wii can only use <2GB SD Cards ("and don't forget that 2GB maximum when stocking up on the little...")
