I found quite an interesting search engine. Although it's no Google killer, it still shows how boring search is in the big 3 search engines and I feel that this visual presentation is so much better and much more interesting although it is slower.

The search engine is called Searchme - http://www.searchme.com/.

Search "Habbo" for example, then underneath hit "Online forums". The second slide off course is Habbox forum. When hovering over the image, it shows the title, url and desc of the site just as the other search engines do. You can use your mouse wheel to scroll through the results.

I quite like this and might use it quite often as it is different from the other search engines.

Your thoughts?

That's awesome! At least you get a preview before visiting the site :P

It's nice and pretty and has some quirks (dragging the window around) but it isn't very productive. Still, nice find.

It did look very similar to the iPhone album listing function :P

It's not good at finding forums though. I searched "Thybag" and it came up with <Title Not Available> and linking to a different website, but I'm guessing for a small search engine, it checks out an external source for online forums and shows a preview, rather than information like the title and URL. Either way, it's good for a small search engine.

Hmm yeh, it might be nice to look at but it's certainly not the fastest way of doing things.
