Cashing a cheque

Never done this before, I have a cheque payable to my name

I have a 'smart 2 save' book, which i can put and withdraw money into

How do i cash it, how long will it take to cash etc...

Takes 3 days usually, and you just take it to your bank and they might ask you to sign back of it or something and wait 3 days n its done ;P

You take it along to your bank and tell them you wish to cash it in. They will do it for you.

It takes 3-4 days to clear a cheque.

What I do is just give them a cheque and my Debit card and they do it straight off that.

Takes about 3-4 working days as Misawa said.
