In my opinion, people that believe a god that somehow appeared created a world out of nothing and then put humans on and all that shiz, are stupid. But I must admit - the bible writer has one heck of an imagination!

I'm an atheiest and accept that people believe in a deity or religion. I work in a church so I guess I should accept people and their religions :P In some cases, I find the atmosphere in a church quite calm and relaxing, but that's only in reformist churches.

I'm an atheist,
I cannot believe there is an invisible man controlling the earth,

but I do respect some religious beliefs - not all - as good, honest foundations to build a life.

I do also envy religious people in a way - I wish I could believe in something with such wholeheartedness - it must be satisfying to have something/someone who you can seek out in times of trouble.

Unfortunately, I'm keen about science.

I was christened a protestant, so I put that. I believe that religions, or the fable's they're made up of are based in some sort of truth, but that there is no devine presence behind them... if you get what I mean?
I also believe that faith can help, but it's you helping yourself, not a God?
However, I don't have much faith and I don't really follow Christian idealogies.

I can't explain =[

Most wars start with something to do with religion.. And
'If god is omiscient etc and benevolent then why is there still suffering going on around the world?' Therefore religion is not really useful apart from praying till you can't pray no more n get some flash ;]

Its just my view on religion

People use religion as a means to start a war. If there wasn't religion people would still have wars, they'd just use different excuses.

Maybe, I've always believed in some sort of saying along the lines of 'Worship god in your own way'.

If you belong to a texual religion (ie; Christianity, Islam, Hinduism - one actually set out rather than agnostic/atheist self beliefs) you certainly shouldn't believe that. The Bible, the Koran and most holy texts have certain ways they say you should follow the religion, ways you should worship, ways you should do most daily activities. In my view, if you're going to call yourself religious you should actually adhere to the laws of your religion - if you don't you clearly don't believe enough because you don't fear or respect your god enough to do exactly as laid out.

If it's atheism (ie: no religion) or buddhism.. then the world'd be a pretty fantastic place to be honest.

Well I am of no religion. But that doesn't make me an atheist, for that is just the negation of a theistic god who can intervene in nature. Where as I reject all forms of spirituality and deism, this is what the term agnostic was orignally termed for (gnosticism being a form of spirituality), I term myself as a materialist believing that the material is all we can realistically know to exist.

it's not really a religion i guess, but i basically believe, that we can't possibly know what there is out there, like gods whatever. the 'evidence' which has been given about religion so far is basically not enough for me, there would need to be loads more evidence for me to consider believing.

sort of like being an atheist, even though we think there may be something out there, but we will never/don't know what it is.
