View Full Version : Do something with the Coding Community?

Hey,
Since the Coding Community in the Designing and Development forum isn't active at all by the Coding Community Members (CCM's), I think it's time to hire more CCM's. If you do, the forum will be active, and more people will get help.

If you're willing to hire people, the intrested people could always reply to this thread saying they can help.

I could help in the Designing and the Coding sections.

That forum is here to help people, but right now it doesn't help anyone.

So I think it would be good to hire more staff.

Do you agree with me?
Do you have more ideas about this?

Please post them!

Im not too certain what purpose the coding community serves. Would anyone like to explain what it's actually there for? :P

Ok....

You are really not makeing sense. There aint enough people using it so you want there to be more people hired to help. Surely it should be the other way round.

Also the reason i think it is not used is its aklot more easy to post in the main forum and get a responce from everybody including some of th CC people.

No offense but the way you made it wound like was basicly Hire me because i wanna CC staff.

Oh yeah I remember reading that now.

If you want to be a Coding Community Guy why not ask Invent like it says? :)

Wait, it isn't active by us? Every genuine question has been replied to by members of the C.C..

Also, I did reject your application/request, but it appears you have sent a new one.

No it's a stupid idea, we have exactly the right amount of people as it is, we are all (very) experienced at what we do and we don't need more people as it currently stands.

I think we need more of them CCM's

Get rid of it, simple :D People get more help, faster help and better help from everyone, not just a few select people.

What would be the point of getting rid of it?

If you need correct, good advice instead of advice from different people that may be incorrect - then you can use the C.C :)

but you're almost never active on that forum.. :S

If there are no questions being asked, then there is no reason for me to be active.

But look.
Sometimes when i check around in the CC, I want to help people with my experience.
But I can't, since i'm not a CCM :D

We don't want to help people with our experience.
We want to help people with our knowledge and skills, which we do.

The team at the moment is perfectly capable of meeting the demand of the forum's members.

I personally don't feel you know enough to be a part of the C.C at the moment, but continue learning and you may be accepted in the future :)

It's not exactly hard to go through possible options to change coding. The more the merrier, and if you're even thinking about coding, you should have some knowledge and know the dumbest answer isn't the only and correct answer. Otherwise there is no hope for the person even asking for help in the first place :/

It works fine in the Technology Help forums :/

The difference is, with the other parts of the D&D Forums, people aren't requried to give help, so they don't put as much effort in or try to answer questions as quickly as possible.

Where as in the C&C forums, we do :)

A good start would be to look in the Coding Community sub forum ;)

Oh thanks.

Although you have enough people on the coding side I dont think that 2 people is enough for the website designing bit :)

It is as we don't get many design related questions...

It would be pointless having 5 members to deal with design related things if only two questions get asked.
