Quite funny, I see these people wearing there 3/4/5 dot gaming badges with pride which is fair enough, I choose not to wear mine however. So I used to be friends with this guy, I'm not anymore, who was quite quick to get a 5-dot badge. So I was quite keen to play him both to seek him out, having not been friends with him anymore ;) and to see how good he was given his badge. However, when I joined his games (incidently the only games I see him in are his own...) he was quick to kick me, despite the fact that we don't 'hate' eachother, but in spite of the fact he knows I am quite good at SS. So I wondered why he was kicking me, given that he was supposedly worthy of the badge. Eventually I worked out a solid way to get into his games (wait till there was only one place left, hit join asap and expect him to start without registering it was me filling the gap, this worked btw :P) and what I found wasn't surprising; he just sat on a machine, ignoring attacks from other players, baiting with some random girl he was with. Having noticed this early on I started going for him and his bait, much to his annoyance, but he pipped me by about 20 points in the end.
I just don't get why people are so desperate to get these badges, which in the end everyone will get because there are only five stages..., when they have absolutely no skill to back it up with.
Anyone else have a similar story? Well played for getting through that btw, if you actually read it. :D
