Well when i put a cd/dvd into my pc nothing comes up. And the cd draw thing makes like weird noises.
I dont know why it doesnt work as its near enough a brand new pc.
I have an Acer Aspire l3600 and i had a look on there site to see if i needed any drivers for it.
But theres no cd drivers listed. I have rebooted my pc afew times so i dont know if thats done anything.
Hopefully someone can help me as i need to install my wireless router and without the cd im kinda ***** :BangHead:

qwerty1 sorry mate it looks like a newe drive, you can pick a DVD drive up now for around 15 - 20 £'s :)
if its a old pc and drive, well, it was coming, if it was new, i'd send it back. nbut then again, it'll take weeks. just get a new one..

Check the Device Manager, see if it's functioning properly.
If not, you need to open it up and check the IME and such.
Or you can buy a LiteOn from me :) (Jokes. Or not?)

You hold a good and positive point, although bios's dont change without a update to the bios and he doesnt list that change or any change. ;)
also, he mighta changed his region too many times.. :(

Ive tried music/games/software.
I think it probally is the driver. Buecause when i put a cd in notihng comes up at all.
Its a new pc only had it afew months.
Like i said in the original post i have rebooted/(make it back to when it was new)
So i think that might be the problem.
Even tho all my other devices work..
Also if you see a pic of my pc ( acer aspire l3600 ) Its not a normal drive id have to buy. So does anyone know where to get a new one? Also would you get to software with it to install it.
I know nothing about pcs....

But it still doesnt work.
As said before. Just send it back, its obviously a faulty drive.

Well i got the pc from pc world. How am i meant to send the pc back ?
Also it worked when i first got it.
What you do is, you get in a car/catch a bus/train to your local PC world with your computer and reciept. You walk in, slam it on the tech guys desk and demand it be fixed or you want a full refund. That my friend, is how you 'send' it back to pc world.

agreed, they will proberly try and charge you £30 for them to repair it like they did with me. Dont agree to it, if they say they wont fix it refuse to leave the store and they give in :) simple as
