Look at the bottom of your screen, if it says 'EN', click it and click on 'English (United Kingdom)'

Thats if you still have the language bar open, unlike me.

Above posts are correct, this is a change in keyboard layout, also when installing winXP or any version of windows, you are asked what region , EN - UK / US

So maybe yeah.. or msn mighta been isntalled under EN - US :)

Yeah I have it on Windows XP downstairs.

Like he said remove the US, but change to England Normal.

There are a few english ones.

Or check keyboard settings.

Then you format or something it restores default settings, including setting the keyboard options, mostly a US keyboard.

On American keyboards the @ is above the two and the " is where our @ symbol is..

If you reinstall Windows you can change the keyboard settings in the initial setup.

You can also go on to control panel -> Regional and Language Options then make sure everything is set to United Kingdom and click 'apply'!
