and I'm seriously ******** myself!
What sort of questions will I be asked?
What do you need to take with you?
What the hell do you say if they ask "Why do you want to work here?"
How long does an interview go on for roughly?
It's for GAME btw, it's my first one so I'm proper nervous, lol. So if anyone can help me by answering my quesions I'll be dead grateful like.

First of all, it is fine to be nervous :P
The sort of questions you will be asked is like:
"Why do you want to work for our company?"
"What do you think you can bring to the team?"
Various other questions may be asked depending on the company.
I had an interview for Boots a week or so ago and I had to go out on the shop floor and do various different exercises so you might have to do it for GAME but you never know.
It's best to take your passport with you and your NI card as your passport will be proof that you have a right to work in the UK. An interview can vary in length, in the past some interviews have lasted 15 minutes and others lasted 45 minutes. make sure you arrive in plenty of time to when they ask you so they know you are enthusiastic :)
Answers to questions could be like:
"I feel I am good with working in a team and I can also work under pressure and offer helpful customer service and a friendly face."
About the "Why do you want to work for us?" - Just mention the fact GAME is a large sales company and a high provider for video games and you feel that you can gain retail experience through the company and it will help develop your skills for later in life.
I hope it goes well for you and just remember it's good to be nervous. Least you know this is your first interview, when I got my 1st interview I didn't know it was going to happen :P
GOOD LUCK!
:)

Sometimes they ask you difficult questions, so prepare some of these answers before you go:
Why do you want to work for them?
Interest in computer games or w.e, well respected company etc. Or maybe even just say that the gaming industry is one you would like to work within in the future.
They could possibly ask you for examples of when you have used your initiative, worked in a team or received good customer service (so bear those in mind).
Just go with teh flow and always answer politely and in complete sentances.

I had a few interviews before I found a job, they are pretty relaxed situations tbh. It's not like they are trying to catch you out, usually interviews are just to get to know the person behind the application better and ask a few questions about the company to see what sort of person you are. I found questions like "Why do you want to work here?" and "What can you contribute to the company?" are often covered in the application if they are going to be asked at all.

Some companies like to know you know some of the company's history. I remember when I got an interview with Britvic, they told me to brush up on Britvic facts :D
Were they impressed by you by any chance?
