Something really needs to be done about ClubHabbo threads on the Show Off Your Website Here - Including Habbo Fansites. (http://www.habboxforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=45) forum. Its turning into a ClubHabbo news forum. Everytime I go on that forum, I see a thread on ClubHabbo. These are just some of the threads on ClubHabbo which have been posted on that forum since 28-08-2008.

Thats just 7 threads in just over a months time and I am sure there are alot more.
I got flamed for advertising my site after 3 months and yet there are loads of threads on ClubHabbo.
There needs to be a rule stating that there can only be 1 thread on a site every x months.
Just going to that forum now, I see two threads on that site. Its ridiculous.

Ok warn people ClubHabbo has been hacked, but do we really need a thread for "You can post an announcement on ClubHabbForum" etc?

I think there should be a rule that there can only be one thread on a site once every x months on that forum.

Clubhabbo sucks anyway.

I agree, but it's because they keep getting hacked and it's big talking point since they're an official fansite. I'm quite surprised that there isn't a forum soley for discussing websites to be honest since those threads aren't really for "showing off" or "advertising" the site - They don't really fit anywhere.

Use the spam forum them. ClubHabboForum sucks. I used to run it and the way its managed is poor, hence I resigned. SkaterChu never listens to others or asks others for his opinion. Hence the forum manager before me and after me resigned too.
There is no communication between SkaterChu and the forum management (well there wasnt when I used to run it).

"ClubHabbo got hacked" .. thats not showing off ClubHabbo. Hence its in the wrong forum. And if the forum gets hacked so much they obviously have careless staff who cant keep their passwords secure or they are really dumb.

I didn't disagree with you, I've basically said what you've said but in a more constructive fashion. Just because you don't like the forum doesn't mean we're going to move all threads on the site into spam as discussion about all sites (except inappropriate ones) is allowed - I think it's evident that we need a new forum for website discussions.

Lol I never said I disagreed with you. I was having a go at people who just post it in that forum ;) I was agreeing with you. Sorry if it sounded as if I was having a go at you.

I agree that the 2 latest threads aren't suited for that forum so they've been moved to Habbo in general as it fits in there more. If you think a thread should be closed or is in the wrong place you should just report it and it would be dealt with.

But you can't discuss websites in there, it is called "Show off YOUR Website" for a reason.

All of the thread should be in spam, or a tech forum that discusses hackings and managing a forum.

Post anything on Habbo or Fansites gets you flamed in the spam forums.

Experting seems to enjoy spamming HxF with ads for crappy Clubhabbo related sites.
There is already a rule in place about mass advertisements for the same sites, the moderators are meant to merge all the simmilar threads into one big one but that really isn't a punishment enough, going to have to be much stritcter when it comes to this sort of things as it's quite annoying.

I don't think the thread starters can read the forum's name.

Meh, filter the words "ClubHabbo," "Club Habbo," "ClubHabboForum," "Club Habbo Forum" and any other ways you can get passed it, just to tick them off :P

Yeah I agree, if you move all of it to Habbo in General, it will spam up the whole forum! And we can't have another spammer in the Habbo Section. *cough*BOT*cough*

LMAO +rep.

But anyway, I don't see the need for them to do that. I think it is a cheap and transparent ploy to get Habbox members to visit their website. And yeah it is called show off YOUR website so shouldn't Skaterchu be posting Clubhabbo ads in there?

I think that filtering Clubhabbo would be funny but silly. I feel sorry for them if they feel their website is somewhat inferior so they have to advertise on a far more popular one.

You obviously haven't even bothered to view any of the threads. The five most recent aren't advertisements at all, they are members discussing the fact that ClubHabboForum keeps getting hacked and how SkaterChu might have to soon close it down due them not being able to properly secure the forum. It's pretty hard to advertise a forum when you currently need a password to gain access to the site.

And I'm sorry but why are you all bad-mouthing them? They may be our rivals but it doesn't mean our members aren't allowed to discuss the forum. In my opinion, the problem isn't the threads, it's some of our members in the threads moaning but like you've said on many occasions (because of the Habbo Bot no-one likes) if the threads annoy you don't view them.

Don't you think you're being a bit hypocritial Joey?

I don't mean advertising in the sense of OMG LOOK HERE but advertising in the sense of talking about the site obviously makes people want to go on it.

Tbh, it wouldn't suprise me if the 'hackings' were all staged as a way to gain publicity for the site.

It doesn't make me a hypocrite at all and yeah if people don't like the threads then shouldn't view them but I just think it is silly to post on HABBOXforum about CLUBHABBOforum. At least the bot is relevant to the members.

Well it's a bit of a stupid plan if that's the case. I highly doubt they'd cover their own forum in gore porn and give everyone admincp access since they could potentially lose their official status and, I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to sign up to site, giving them my personal information, if it was getting hacked daily.

They can discuss what they want aslong as it's with in the rules. It's like saying "Oh why do we have a Runescape section on a Habbo fansite". There's absolutely nothing wrong with discussing the site although I do agree with one thing: there needs to be a section specifically for discussing websites since the threads don't actually fit anywhere.
